Summary
REALLY good workday today. Woke up, crushed an hour of work, treated myself to a coffee, crushed another hour or so of work, went for a jog and then had breakfast, and then crushed a workout in the early afternoon. Woke up at 8:30 am too. Really good day. Wrench in it tho was J coming over tho, wasn’t expecting and out of the blue. Still though I could have kept things under control… fucking killed it at dinner and ate waaaaay too much…. didn’t even like it after, like binging. I think I got it out of my system so far… lol 3.5k today calorie wise. Did go for a jog too tho, so maybe 3350?
I get the system thing in Atomic Habits and thought it was a copout thing at first because its so simple and I feel like its a given, but it’s right. Even though if it does sound like self help regurgitation bullshit, when you have a goal, you should also have a system with it to reach the goal. Like you think of goals and subgoals to reach it, but if you think of it as a goal with a system, it can be thought of in a different way that makes it more… simpler and broken down, steps for achievement.
Tomorrow I’m going to follow the same routine again. I guess the thing is though that I’d have to find time for meditation. Early morning meditation is great and all but I feel like crushing out an hour of work and getting shit done is what I really like to do right now.
