Man, it’s been a year eh? Time really flies. I feel bad for them. I should have kept contact. I can’t really use Corona as an excuse. But alas, I guess it was.
Anyways, super duper tired today. I guess that’s what happens when you have such a shitty sleep schedule. I don’t think I’ve had a real “good” sleep schedule once in my life. Perhaps during my early 20s when I was working with C+J sealing and playing games at night. Those were the days. But even then, I guess those weren’t proper sleep schedules, just cause they were so… messed up?
Come to think of it, I’ve never really had a schedule or anything set by myself. Eat + workout schedule I really had that was successful was back in 2nd/3rd year when I was into powerlifting. And damn, I got really strong. Imagine if I was consitent? haha. Gotta jump back on the horse for the 23432th time.
But consistency… consistency’s a bitch. It’s just going and doing it and forcing yourself. It’s really hard to brute force something and make it a consistent habit on the first try… especially if its a btich to do – e.g. work out. I guess that’s why kaizen’s so effective!!!!! funny this post naturally flows into kaizen, because that’s exactly what I was thinking about earlier.
I’ve been wanting to do so many things for so long, but I feel like I’ve been postponing starting them because they’re such big tasks! so much to do! where do I start? Like for instance, taxes! Well today, instead of “do 30 in taxes a day till you finish”… that was momentous… so instead of doing that, today for the first step I decided to just…. to just bring my papers downstairs! you know how fucking simple that is!??!?! lmao! bring it downstairs! took like 30 seconds… but don’t play yourself down Sean… you did more than any of those other 365 days previous where you told yourself “you would get it done ove rthe weekend” or “you would do 30 min a day till complete”…. yeah right… at that pace you would literally NEVER finish it.
This is where kaizen comes in. One single step, one day at a time. A very simple, seemingly innocuous and insidiously effective concept.
Oh and also brute forcing is sometimes helpful. Playing dragon ball z motivational videos helps xD!
